Discover the art of regaining your smile with ToothCrafters Denture Services. Our expert team is dedicated to crafting personalized denture solutions that restore your confidence and oral functionality.
Full Dentures
Standard dentures, or full dentures, are designed for the average patient using basic tooth shades and shapes. While they may fit comfortably and allow you to chew well, you may require a personalized denture using premium materials and precision techniques to allow for better esthetics, comfort, fit and function, as well as a more natural smile. Premium personalized dentures instill confidence and provide optimum function while you’re eating, speaking or laughing. From an impression of your jaw and your specific jaw movements, we are able to recreate the character of your smile and restore the natural contour of your lips and facial muscles.
Removable Partial Dentures
Removable partial dentures can replace one or more teeth and can be customized to your specific requirements. Partial dentures can be tooth-supported or tissue-supported. The differences between the two types can be explained better by our denturists. Factors to determine if they are right for you include the number of teeth you are missing, as well as your teeth’s position and stability.
Partials are usually constructed of acrylics, a metal/acrylic combination or flexible thermoplastics, which allow more esthetics and flexibility. All partials are designed to be removable and should be removed nightly for maximum oral health. The benefits of partials include:
• No harm is done to remaining natural teeth.
• Prevents your natural teeth from shifting or drifting into the space left by the tooth loss.
• Helps maintain your natural teeth positioning by providing additional support.
• Helps you look, feel and chew better!
Implant Retained Dentures
Dental implants are a substitute for tooth roots that form a stable foundation for the permanent replacement of teeth. They act as additional support for full and partial dentures because the implants integrate with the bone to act as an anchor for the replacement teeth. Considered by many as the closest replacement for natural teeth and the best way to restore your natural smile, dental implants have become more affordable throughout the years. Benefits of dental implants include:
• Improved oral health, ability to eat & self-esteem
• Increased denture comfort
• Increased denture stability
• Helps prevent bone loss
• Reduced resorption of tissue
• Superior long-term esthetics
Immediate Dentures
To avoid the situation of being without teeth, sometimes immediate dentures are required. An immediate denture is made by taking impressions of your mouth while your natural teeth are still present. When your natural teeth are extracted, your immediate denture is then inserted into your mouth. With this technique, you have avoided having to go without any teeth while you go through the healing process.
While certain esthetic compromises may be necessary, the results are normally quite good. It is imperative that you follow your denturist or oral surgeon’s postoperative instructions very carefully for the healing process to be more effective. After the healing process is complete, either a new permanent full denture will be made or your denture will be relined or rebased to ensure the most comfortable fit that is possible.
Rebases
Rebasing is usually done when the denture teeth have not worn out in comparison to the denture base material. It is a process of retrofitting dentures by replacing all of the acrylic denture teeth with new acrylic, which provides a stable denture without replacing the denture teeth.
Repairs
In most cases, your Toothcrafters denturist can restore an existing broken or cracked denture to its original state. Repairs may be required when breakage or chipping has occurred, when one or more teeth need to be added to an existing denture (due to tooth extraction) or because of everyday wear-and-tear. If your denture requires a repair, it may be indicative of underlying problems, including its age, worn teeth or a poor fit.
Relines
A reline consists of adding new base material to the tissue side of a denture so it fits properly. Relining only affects your denture’s fit and should not change its appearance. Relining may be required when tissue changes occur due to resorption (shrinkage). This can be due to:
• Weight loss
• Loss of teeth or bone
• Aging
• Disease or illness

Soft Liners
Using soft materials fitted to the surface of a denture, a permanent soft liner rests next to the oral tissues to act as a cushion or shock absorber between the hard plastic base of a denture and your gums. Soft liners can be used in the fabrication of new dentures or placed in existing dentures. Benefits of soft liners include:
• Comfort & relief from chronic soreness
• Greater comfort overall, especially when chewing
• Almost everyone tolerates soft liner materials
• Steadily improved materials & technology over 20 years
However, soft liners require more consideration when it comes to maintenance and home care. They also require more follow-up visits with your denturist to examine their fit, your oral health and to ensure professional cleaning.
Mouth Guards
If you participate in active sports such as football, baseball, basketball, soccer, hockey or skateboarding, you may require an athletic mouth guard to help protect your teeth, lips, cheeks and tongue. Mouth guards are typically constructed of soft plastic and they are adapted to fit comfortably over your upper teeth. If a mouth guard interferes with your breathing or speech or feels bulky, you shouldn’t wear it. Here are some tips for caring for your mouth guard:
• When not in use, mouth guards should be stored in a plastic container to avoid damages from excessive heat or cold.
• You should wash your mouth guard after every use, using cold or lukewarm water only. Hot water causes distortion.
• You can rinse your mouth guard with mouthwash prior to inserting it to freshen its taste.
• Mouth guards should be replaced every 2-3 years.
Teeth Whitening
You can have brighter, whiter teeth using the latest in teeth whitening technology. Using a peroxide-based gel retained in a custom-fitted appliance that is worn over your teeth, our system can be used during the day or while you sleep. Our tooth-whitening system is ideal for people who have healthy, unrestored teeth and is most effective on mildly discoloured teeth.
How Long Does the Teeth Whitening Process Take?
Darker stains caused by antibiotics, trauma, smoking, etc. may take longer to respond to treatment. The degree of whiteness will vary, depending upon your teeth’s structure and how long the system is used. However, results are usually seen following the first night. The best results generally occur when the process is continued for 10-14 nights. Some patients may need periodic re-whitening for one or two nights every 4-6 months. Anti-Snoring Appliances
It has been estimated that as many as 50% of people snore regularly. For some, snoring can be an occasional annoying habit, while others suffer from more chronic, heavy snoring that can be a symptom of sleep apnea, which can be associated with hypertension, stroke and other cardiopulmonary problems. Signs of sleep apnea include:
• Choking or interrupted breathing during sleep
• Excessive daytime sleepiness
• Morning headaches
• A strong urge to sleep during the day
• Jerking limb movements during sleep
• Awakening tired & thirsty
• Snoring
Sleep apnea can cause daytime fatigue, memory impairment, poor work performance and loss of sexual interest. Severe sleep apnea can result in more serious complications, including high blood pressure, heart rhythm disturbances and even heart failure. However, a denturist can fit you with an oral appliance specially designed to treat snoring and sleep apnea. Benefits of our appliances include:
• Easy to wear
• Small & lightweight, making them travel-friendly
• Relatively inexpensive compared to other alternatives like surgery
• Non-invasive & non-surgical solution
• Sometimes covered by medical insurance
• Custom fitting is simple & painless
